Original nitrate film elements no longer available. Originally delivered to Pan Am in 1939, it was the largest commercial airliner until Boeing introduced the B-747 in 1969. It was first commercial airliner to circumnavigate the earth in 1941. In a secret OSS mission, it carried uranium from Africa to the US during WW II for the first atomic bombs.
