Kidnappers Caught
Description: Newsreel from 1933 about the foiled kidnapping attempt of the niece of Russell C. Leffingwell, partner of the House of Morgan (J. P. Morgan & Company) and daughter of Franklin K. Batcheller. The would be kidnappers also threatened to blow up Batcheller’s mansion in Yonkers, New York if they were not paid a $10,000 ransom.
